It’s been quite a while that Apple has been a dominant player in the technology sector, yet until now there has not been a real challenge to their otherwise clean, and efficient OSX system.  This latest vulnerability takes the form of a falsified Flash installation, typically referred to as a flashback or flashfake.

Forbes took the opportunity to be critical of the Mac, even through industry experts are saying Apple is taking the right steps in response.

Apple has officially released a statement on their site that acknowledges the Java issue, and indicates a security update to patch OSX.
